For about $30 at any office supply store you can pick up a handheld labeler. They are easy to use and have unlimited possibilities. Label drawers, storage containers, files and office equipment. 2. Three Hole Punch. Buy a heavy duty one that will last for years. Punch papers for binders and reports. 3. Postage Scale. Even in a home office, an inexpensive postage scale (available from any office supply store) will save trips to the post office by weighing everything yourself. You can then either keep stamps on hand or print postage from the USPS web site. 4. Plastic Drawer Unit. These six-drawer units on wheels can hold office supplies, backup supplies, reports, or anything else you don't need in your desk. They're usually around $30 at an office supply store or mass merchant. 5. Step File Sorter. These metal holders usually accommodate seven to nine file folders from low to high so you can view all of them at once. Use them to sort your paperwork into so you can get and stay organized.
