Top 5 Time-Making Tips

We're all looking for ways to better manage our time.  have your tried these easy tips?  They're all items you can do today.

5.  Jot down a quick list of items you need to accomplish today.  It will help you stay focused and get more done.

4.  Reduce interruptions.  Ignore the phone, fax machine and email alerts as much as possible.  Stay focused on what you're doing now and you'll finish more quickly.

3.  Multi-task the little things.  Organize a drawer while you talk on the phone.  Cook while helping the kids with homework.  Walk on your treadmill or life weights while watching TV.  Listen to books on tape while driving.

2.  Take five.  Enjoying a few minutes several time a day will actually make you more productive.  Turn on some music and listen to one song.  Walk (or dance!) around the room.  Breathe deeply.  Drink a glass of cool water.

1.  Reduce TV time.  Nielsen reports that the average person watches 4 hours, 35 minutes of TV daily.  Tivo or record on video your favorite shows.  Even the 6:00 news can be recorded and replayed without commercials.
