Top 5 Ways to Make More Time in Your Day

Isn't it crazy how we're all rushing around looking for ways to make life easier?  Try these simply tips to find a little more time in your day:

1.  Prioritize.  Learn to say no to unimportant tasks.  Concentrate on the most important things you have to do today.  Once they're finished, you can move to items that simply need to be done.  Make a list of your priorities each day and place it on your computer monitor, refrigerator or car dash.

2.  Delegate.  This is the number one time saver.  You can pay someone to help you, trade tasks with a neighbor, coworker or friend, or simply make a family member or employee do a specific task or tasks.  Be creative.  After you write your daily to do list, review it and figure out a way to pass some items on to others to free your time.

3.  Look for Time Wasters.  We all waste time.  Think about how much time you spend watching TV, surfing the Internet, emailing, playing computer games, and searching through clutter for lost items.  Then find ways (or motivation) to reduce your time wasters.

4.  Double Up.  File while your watching TV, spend time with your family (and get some help, too) by preparing dinner together.  Take a walk with your mate (exercise and catch up at the same time).  Take a walk or write your to do list while watching your child's team practice.

5.  Look for Time Savers.  Tivo or record your favorite TV shows and skip the commercials.  Take meats out of the freezer the night before to thaw (and marinate them) so you won't have to nuke them before dinner (and they'll be more tasty).  Keep a tax file and place all tax-related papers into it this year so you'll save time preparing taxes next year.

Focus on important things and ask for help at home.  Be aware of how you spend your time.  Good luck!
